The crystal mouthpiece he was playing was a "Pete Fountain" model. If
anyone's interested, Fountain uses 2.5 Marca reeds. All of his equipment
is included in his arrangement with Leblanc.

Another piece of Fountain trivia. He got his first crystal mouthpiece
from Irving Fasola's widow. Fasola wanted to leave Fountain one of his
horns, but he knew that would be pointless. Fasola played only Albert;
Fountain played only Boehm.
