Subject: music dictionaries
terms in all languages that one might encounter and translates them
into English?
Recently I have been at 2 rehearsals where it was only due to my
highschool German that we could determine what the markings meant, e.g.
"zum ersten mal" ==> "first time only"

Tom:
Even Russian composers largely use Italian. Assuming you have access to
an ordinary musical dictionary, there are really only French & German to
worry about, if you only want to know about what you might find on a part
or score; unless you want more than this, why not just carry on using "high
school German" or (someone else's?) similar French?
