Subj: How old is my clarinet and the clarinet FAQ

Just for fun today, I decided to see how old my Bb clarinet is since
someone told me that is looked much older than I thought it was.
Anyway, I found out that it was made when I thought it was by looking at
at the list.

But of course, that is not what my question is about.

I also decided to look to see when the school owned Buffet R-13 A
clarinet that I am using was made. Supposedly it was bought new eight
years ago but by the list that is on sneezy, it said that the clarinet was
made between 1973-1974. My question is if the list on sneezy is just for
Bb clarinets or what. When I asked another teacher in the department
about the clarinet, he said that when he came to the school, the clarinet
looked like it had to be ten years old so that would make it around
eighteen years old now. It's true that it probably has not hardly used at
all but it looks newer than my Bb clarinet that is around 6 years old.
