Tom,
Yes I do demonstrate for students. That is essential for any
advanced musical instruction. And yes, people must do alot of listening
in order to learn more and apply those lessons taught in the studio. One
caveat, however: Undirected listening can be little better than useless
for folk styles because the rules are so far out from the norm.
