The Blayman peg (available from catalogues everywhere - Weiner, Woodwind,
etc.) has an iron base and a number and type of pegs that can be
configured by the user. I use this in the orchestra. I just got a K&M
folding stand - twice as expensive as those folding black things that fit
in the bell, but sturdier. The legs snap into place for use, and fold
away for storage, but *don't* fit in the bell. It's still pretty light,
but the legs are quite long, so the whole setup is relatively stable.
