For those of you in the New York area, the American Premiere of Isang Yun's
Clarinet Quintet #2 will take place next Thursday, November 21, at Alice
Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, 8 pm. The concert will also include 5 other
American premieres of Yun works.

Isang Yun was Korea's foremost composer, though he spent the majority of his
life in Germany where he died last year. The second clarinet quintet was his
last completed work. The world premiere was given by Eduard Brunner with the
Sibelius Quartet last year. I will be playing the work here in New York.

Unfortunately, comp tickets are not available to me. If you are interested in
going, please contact the Alice Tully Box office directly. Tickets are $20 or
so. Good chance of a student discount the day of the performance. Hope to see
some of you there.
