1) I think "mpingo" is a Swahili word - Swahili (properly KiSwahili) can
hardly be described
as a "dialect"; it is a literary language. The plural of "mpingo" is
presumably "mupingo". If this means the tree, the wood probably has a
different name.
2) How do Buffet expect players to play the Vintage in tune with either
one of two quite different barrels? Perhaps they don't, and this is a
dodge to use up small bits of blackwood ...
