To any and all,

My name is Serge Gariepy and I am a senior in high school at
Mount Pisgah Academy. I sit first chair clarinet in a 30 member band
(kind of small, eh?). I take private lessons from the band
conductor, and I have recently sparked a great interest in joining
the college symphony next year. So I went to the college I was
planning to attend, and talked to the orchestra conductor. He said
that the clarinet (RICO) I was using is for "beginners". He said
that I really needed to get a symphony-level clarinet. Okay that's
all good, but what kind of clarinet are we talking about here. If
(those of you who have followed me so far) you have any imput or
advise on how I can get a good clarinet for symphony or orchestra
level, feel free to tell me!! Oh yeah, I'm poor too!! This
clarinet can't cost me an arm and a leg! Anyway, I REALLY would
appreciate ANY imput or advise!!! Thanks a lot

sincerely,

Serge Gariepy jr.
