Remove the cap, (and all the reeds!!), then remove the carbon humidifier
thingy, then pull out the inside piece of the reed case. This may require
a bit of exertion the first time, but thereafter it will be easier. Wash
all the parts in warm soapy water, and let it dry thoroughly. Good as
new. I do this regularly to mine.
