I, too, fell in love with Spohr through a recording on the radio and rushed
to the library to borrow the Concerti for practice (there is no chance I will
ever get to perform them) and have found them delightful for study and
private enjoyment. Spohr also wrote some neat violin works which I have
heard played well.
