Subj: Clarinetists on my recordings

My name is Frank Garcia. I teach clarinet at the Univ. of Wisconsin,
Superior.

I have a question. I have 2 recordings of the Rachmaninoff 2nd Piano
Concerto. The first recording is of Rachmaninoff performing at the
piano, Stokowski conducting the Philadelphia Orchestra. The recording
was done in April, 1929. The second recording is Rubinstein, Fritz
Reiner and the Chicago Symphony. I do not have a record date on this
one. Would you, or someone else that you are in contact with be able
to tell me who the clarinetists are on these recordings.

I studied with Mitchell Lurie and asked him if he was the clarinetist
on the Reiner recording. He said he wasn't, but believed it was Donald
McGinnis. At any rate, my curiousity is getting the better of me and
I'd love to know who these players are. Thank you for any assistance
you may be able to provide.
