I don't know about how to clean it , but you might try this for an
alternative way
to keep your reeds from mildewing (new verb!): Use a small tupperware
box, fill a small piece of a woman's stocking with salt, preferably
rock salt, and tie it up, so it won't seep out. Slightly-only
slightly dampen the salt bag, and place your reeds in the tupperware with
this. This will keep them from drying out and from mildewing, but you
have a small salt taste to cope with. Not a low-sodium diet suggestion!
