I was down at Everett Matson's place having some work done on some mouthpieces
about three months ago and he told me that Joe Lovano currently uses a wooden
tenor sax mouthpiece and that he has to get it essentially remade every
couple of months because of the extreme changes one would expect from the
daily swelling and shrinking of the mouthpiece. Simon
