Status-amateur to semi-pro (have gotten paid for about half my gigs for the
past 30 years) Community Bands, Civic orchestra, Dixieland, German Band
&various busking groups including Howard's Bookstore Basement Ragtime Band

Clarinet-Bb Selmer (old-got it at a gun shop!)
barrel-original
mouthpieces:
for classical, jazz and folk-Pete Fountain crystal
for Dixieland-a nameless much reworked old mouthpiece I found in a case of
another instrument-very open faced with wide bars--this thing cuts!
ligature-bonade for the crystal, whatever is around (el-cheapo) for Dixieland
reeds-LaVoz medium hard or hard-reworked as necessary esp for jazz and folk.
I do like the Zondas & can't stand Vandoren

Other instruments:
C-soprano sax (antique Martin low pitch with Otto Link 5* mouthpiece,
ligature & cap-rico 4 or 5 reed)
flute; Artley Silver (old)
Piccolo Artley silver Db (my original instrument) very old
various recorders (I like the Tudor plastic esp for busking)
various ancient wrecked flutes that were given to me
banjo & guitar (I was a college student back in the Kingston Trio days &
played professionally back then)
fiddle-home made--have played in symphonies on this--but not very well! The
instrument is better than I am.

I use mink oil (which is made of silicon, not furry animals) for cork grease

I keep reed rushes, a reed clip, a quarter and a book of matches (yes, I do
use this method--use a big old brass disk for sax), spare glue, screwdrivers,
dental floss (many uses) and an exacto-knife blade (fresh) for trimming
reeds.

ps this listing is fun!
