on tenor sax
Yanagisawa 9 for jazz, Selmer D* for classical on bari sax
> Barrel
The name on the barrel is "David Hite". It came with my clarinets.
> reeds
I play really soft reeds. VanDoren 3 on Eb or Bb (Zonda 2.5), VanDoren
2 on all of the larger clarineets. VanDoren Java 2 for alto and
tenor, Vandoren 2.5 for soprano, LaVoz Medium Soft or Rico Platicover
3 for jazz bari, VanDoren 4 for classical bari.
> ligature
I tend to use Rovners on everything that I can. My Lawton has a built-in
ligature, and the Selmer bari mouthpiece has the stock ligature.
> Clarinet
My Eb is labeld "White" and has no serial number. Plays in tune, has
terrible action; good sound. I have a matched set of R13 A and Bb.
I have a student model Vito bass clarinet (the best bargain in
woodwinds today).
I have Slemer Mark VI soprano, tenor and low A baritone.
I have a Yamaha 581 H flute with the Yamaha AC head joint.
I am borrowing a Yamaha 61 Piccolo, a Selmer Mark VI alto, and
a Selmer rosewood contra-alto clarinet from one of the community
colleges. In addition, I am in temporary custody of a very nice Vito
bass saxophone while I play West Side Story.
I don't want to talk about my yearly reed bill.
