Personnaly, I don't know about Julie De Roche way of teaching because I'm
studiying with M.Combs. But I think she does a great job with undergrad
students. Undergrad students usually starts with J.De Roche and depending
of their evolution after their second or third year they switch to John
Bruce Yeh (some students might start with Yea, I'm not so sure).
And some student get to study with M. Combs, part time, at
their last year (because he's teaching grad. students). But you have the
chance to have master class with M.Combs. J. De Roche is chairman of the
woodwind and her husband, Dr. Donald De Roche is the chairman/coordinator
of the performance area. He is also conducting the Wind ensemble and the
Wind Symphony. I hope I answered your interrogation. I'm new from this
year so I don't totally know what's going on but if you have any more
questions I can get more info.
