There I was just this evening, sitting at my desk with my clarinet, water in
a container to the left of me, olive oil in a container to the right, and a
brand new box of Vandoren V-12 #4 spread out in front. All of a sudden, all
of these questions came to me in a flash along with one extra. "Will I
destroy the one good reed I get out of this box if I apply oil?" I opted the
conservative approach and poured the oil back into the bottle.

I, too, would like to know if you wouldn't mind posting the answer just one
more time in case I missed it. Thanks.
