I'm trying to form a clarinet quartet up here at UW-Superior and I'm
just wondering if anyone knows of any good clarinet quartet pieces.
Thanks

Anyone interested in clarinet quartets should try to acquire the CDs of the
Thurston Clarinet Quartet (UK based). They are fantastic. The two CDs I
have are:
1. Clarinet Masquerade (c) 1993 ASV Digital, CD WHL 2076
2. Clarinet Carnival (c) 1995 ASV Digital, CD WHL 2095

The playing is great on both, but I think the quality of the recording is
better on the second. Not that the first is bad, but it has a "hard" sound
to it, something some people used to complain about in early CDs but I am
not sure I ever heard until this recording.

I am sure the second CD is still readily available, the first may be harder
to find.
