I have followed my 24 hour rule by cooling off before I responded to this
note. I live in the Phoenix area, and am proud of the events that take
place at ASU in the School of Music. This is the fifth largest University
in the Nation! We have over 700 music majors and 27 clarinet majors,
several of whom are giving recitals in the next several weeks. Lack of
culture... I think not! This is not to mention to the band, orchestra,
chamber orchestra and opera... even a faculty woodwind quintet concert this
Monday evening!

I notice you have an ASU e-mail address.... check into thse events!

This also excludes the fine activities of the Phoenix Symphony, the Ballet,
the Opera, the Art Museum and the Heard Museum.

I am sorry the blow to the whole list, but there is a lot to do
here....amature groups are all over... the Scottsdale Symphony, the Tempe
Symphony, the Mesa Symphony, the Sun City Symphony.. not to mention the
Community Bands at the Community Colleges, which are quite good.

Maybe I should have followed the 48 hour rule instead, but I have said my
peace, and invite any of you in the area to contact me about any of the
fine clarinet events at the Arizona State University
