My opinion is that barrels differ, sometimes significantly. I have
found that the Buffet CHADASH (bored by Guy Chadash, who
lives in NYC) are the most in-tune barrels. Buffet actually supplies
new clarinets with Chadash barrels. Also, you may wish to
consider the high-quality clarinet barrels made by Clark Fobes
or J. Pyne, both of whom are on this list.
