Yes! Thank you. This is **information!** I've wondered for years what the
holes
are. I sat looking at reed slopes this weekend (pathetic, yes) and "studied"
how
a 3 is different than a 4.5 (same maker/style). The only difference I
discovered
was that the harder reed began it's "climb" to the bark _sooner_ than the
softer
one. I hadn't ever known how reeds of different strengths differed.
