Well, Adam, yes there is a problem with getting cork grease on the wood. You
see, the grease on the wood could get on your fingers, and then on the keys,
which would make playing clarinet more like Ice- Skating on thin ice.
I do find that Selmer cork grease is bad - it bunches up around the joint, and
does not absord well. Get the cork grease in a tube, not by hand (messy
fingers). Almost any other brand but Selmer is fine. Nothing against Selmer, I
just don't like their cork grease. It makes my tone "bright". (just joking
Dan).

Is there any danger or problem with getting cork grease on the wood of my
Buffet? When ever I put cork grease on I usually smear some on the wood. (I
know this is a stupid question, but I'm curious)
Thanks
