I don't play any bass clarinet but I can recommend some good Bb
clarinet concertpieces and music to audition with. I've been auditioned for
more than 40 groups and played in tons of orchestras including the National
Orchestra and the Eastern. The standard repertoire( in my opinion) for Bb
clarinet would be Weber's Concertino, Weber's 1st or 2nd Concerto, Mozart's
Clarinet Concerto in A, Rabaud's Solo de Concours, and the Hindemith Sonata.
I've auditioned on these pieces and had a lot of success with them. If you
want I can mail you a catalog of just clarinet music. Send me your
address. This catalog is great! it has everything. As for Bass clarinet ,
I don't know what to tell you, I do however have this incredibly hard duet
for clarinet and Bass clarinet by Mendelssohn that you may be interested in.
Its a great bass clarinet part. E-mail me at
