I know that recording (Leister on DGG, 3CD), I have it too, but it's an old
recording (when he played on the Steuer/Appollo reeds). There is a newer one
(digital), combined with the horn trio, but it never came out on CD (by my
knowlegde...). I prefer that one. I have it on DAT-tape; I made the copy of a
LP when I found that rare LP in the collection of a horn player...

My favorite is the Leister on DGG too, but in the US at least it IS
available on CD in a 3CD collection of Brahms Trios. The recording by
Reginald Kell is very good, but inimitable. Alan Hacker also has a
recording on period instruments which is interesting for a different
balance due to the less aggressive piano and cello sounds.
