I have two unrelated questions, stimulated by recent messages:
1. Concerning the Mozart serenade for 13 instruments, I was told once that
originally it had only four movements and that it is only later that WAM
added more minuettis and trios. Does anyone on the list have information on
this?
2.Someone on the list mentioned a clarinettist who could tongue at a
metronomic speed of 160. In itself this is not very fast. I suppose that
what was meant is four notes 160 times per minute, that is 640?
Incidentally, for a good player, what is the maximum speed? 4 times 140 or
sth like that?
Thanks Franck
