Hello,

What do you folks think about the recording made by members of the Berlin
Philh ? It is on the Sony-label and conducted by Mehta. For me this is *the*
recording, at the moment...

I performed Gran Partitta as a oktet(!)...the editor (Mr. Dr Bastiaan
Blomhert) claimed that this is the original piece...(i.e. earlier written by
Mozart than the Gran Partita for 11 instruments). I think it even is
printed now (RaRa?). I liked to play this, but I like "the version" with
basset-horns more! I do not know, if this oktet-version is mentioned in die
neue Mozart Ausgabe...
