Hello,

As I am relative new to this list, first a word of introduction. I am an adult
beginning clarinet player from Holland (not the carnival region, but the
east part, where the people are infamous for their stubbornness).

It is for messages like these that I love this list as much as I hat^H^H^Hlove
my clarinet. I have learned a great deal since I joined it.

Now the Question: I find that I need to lower my lower jaw when playing
altissimo notes. Would that mean that this should be the embouchure for all
notes in all registers, or has each note its own embouchure ?
My teacher maintains that one should not change the embouchure when playing
high notes, but I think he means that high notes should not be "forced".

Best regards,
