Subject: bass doubling

When Klarinetters on this list double on bass clar., and have to pick it
up after an extended time playing Bb, do you find problems with the reed
drying out? How do you get around this? Thanks,

I don't think there's an *easy* way. You lick the reed from time to time,
and suck it so it doesn't go crinkly.
