Pertaining to the discussion of CO2, pitch and belching...is this crazy or what?

Anyway, yes, the pitch does drop when belching as you play. The result, in
my opinion, is caused by a change of air pressure, the air coming from the
stomach. Stomach air does not give us the "air support" we need in playing,
thus we continue to breath in the manner we were taught. If you doubt the
air from the lungs is cut off when you belch, try exhaling the next time
you throw up.
