Very carefully! No, it's fairly easy to do, but you have to be careful
not to scrape the inside of it (none of those brushes should be used!) or
get the cork wet. Warm water, not too hot, a little Ivory soap if you
need it -- just rub with your fingers or a soft cloth. Rinse well
holding the mouthpiece upside down. That way you can cover the cork with
your fingers and let the stream of water go through. I usually pull my
silk swab through once to dry it. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
