A statement of one's experience, to be sure. I have been reading (and been
involved in, much over my head) the exchange with Jonathan C. about using
lighter set-ups. I personally am undergoing a difficult learning experience
coming to grips with his intelligent remarks. But I feel I have to say that
I
wouldn't want to find a set-up that worked for everybody. I'd rather keep
the
variety of sounds made from different set-ups. William Stubbins said it best
when
he wrote that [I paraphrase heavily] there is a medium range of highest
efficiency outside the bounds of which are inefficient extremes. I do not
think it is out of the question to try hitting that perfect medium with a
varieties
of equipment and embouchure styles. -----Bill F.
