Maybe this means I should perscribe my clarinet to my mother when she
complains of sinus headaches? I think she'd be less than happy to hear
that solution...:)

I was thinking about this, though, and something else came to mind... You
see, I seem to have the cold that's going around, and although I'm mostly
over it, I still sneeze occasionally (hiccups and sneezes, IMO, make the
funniest sounds when you're blowing through a clarinet...). Anyways, I
was just finding it extremely difficult to play when my nose got all
blocked up, and it only seemed to be blocked up when I tried to play. Has
anyone found this, and could anyone give a clue as to why a blocked nose
would make it harder to play? My guess is that having my nose stuffed up
was just distracting me. :)
