Perhaps under the category of "Outrageous" to some, my teacher, now in his
40th year at St. Olaf, always claimed practicing was medicinal for sore
throats and, sit down for this, he had a flute student whose doctor claimed,
long after the fact, that she had had TB and based on his tests, ventured a
date for the illness, which, you guessed it, was about the time she started
playing flute, which goes to prove, not only that people that know better
still use run on sentences, but that wind players can be stranger than
fiction.
