Subj: Vandoren vs.Grand concert

Is it my imagination or has the quality of Vandorens and V12s
going farther down. I like the cane that Zondas are made from but
don't care for the $3 per reed price. I've tried the thin Grands
and for me they played almost like a Rico. The thick seems to be
decent but never could adjust it to sound quite right. Does anyone
that uses Grands on here do any consistant modificaitons to them.
It also would help to know what mouthpiece/reed strength you use.
