I have a Selmer 10R ("Recital") Bb clarinet with a 64.5 mm barrel.
I'd like to be able to use a different barrel with the instrument to play
with
the tuning and to be able to use custom barrels with it (for instance, one
of Clark Fobes'). Does anyone have any idea why Selmer puts these
barrels on these clarinets, and not a more standard 66 mm? I've heard the
expression "don't fix it if it ain't broke" but I think I'd use the horn
more
if it were more versatile. ------Bill Fogle.
