If you have trouble getting an old Brand kit. You can get the mouthpiece kit
from Ralph Morgan directly or from the Woodwind or Philip Muncy. It costs
about $150. It includes the all the basics and a copy of the chapter on
mouthpiece refacing from the Brand-Selmer band instrument repair manual. If
you want to go cheaper, you can get all the stuff you need from Babbit in
Indiana. for about $80, you will get the exact same equipment that Morgan
has minus the nice black box that the equipment fits into and the information
about how to reface mouthpieces (I think).

The phone number for Babbit is: 1-800-262-6514 Ask for James Green.
Regarding the "Tip Gauge" I would recommend that you ask for on that goes
up to 260 instead of 280. One year ago, I was there and sorted through all
of the tip gauges and I felt that the guages that went up to 260 had a
significantly better "feel"

The phone number for Morgan is 1-800-336-2456

Good luck,

Brad Behn
