There may be more than one teacher at College Park, but Mike Rusinek teaches
there. Mike plays assistant principal in the National Symphony and is a
friend of mine. He is a wonderful player and I believe he would be a very
good teacher. He is a very musical guy, having done a lot of solo playing
before joining the orchestra. I suggest taking a lesson with him if possible.

Seems like a lot of strong players are coming out of DePaul and winning jobs
these days. That's worth looking into, in my opinion. Larry Coombs teaches
there, as well as John Bruce Yeh. Ken Grant teaches at Eastman now, and his
reputation is outstanding. These are pretty high powered programs compared to
College Park. I guess it just depends on your current level of performance.
