Jim,

I thought I discussed this previously, but in case I forgot to, here it is,
briefly.

The "American" bore is designed to be similar to the R13 bore, with reverse
cone barrel.

The English bore is wider and more open sounding, similar to English
instruments.

The French bore has a cylindrical barrel and I believe is somewhere in
between the English and American.

I liked it best, because it seemed to have a nice focused sound, but at the
same time a very large sound.

Hope this helps. It's all personal taste in the end.
