Regarding pain from extended practice, you should see a good orthopod
MD who is familiar with RSI. Some suggestions, after you have seen
the doctor:
1. Reduce practice time, this is really the first thing to do.
2. Change wrist position, using a brace or sling.
3. Use ice on wrist twice a day; this gives temporary relief.
4. Anti-inflammatory drugs treat the symptom, not the cause. Aspirin
works well, ibuprofen does too but it should not be taken for
long periods (more than a few months, kidney damage possible).
You should change treat the cause also, as above.
