The latest edition of Guitar Techniques magazine in the UK has a short
piece on RSI. I didn't read the article as I wasn't buying the mag, and
wasn't going to stand in the newsagents reading the whole thing, but I
noticed it gave the url for the RSI-UK on the web, and that gives links
to other RSI info etc.

On the subject of slings, I have seen the claricord, and have a pocket
size catalogue for BG products, which came with a ligature. Looking at
these I would have to say that the BG seems to be the better sling.
The claricord is simply a piece of elastic with a loop to go over the
thumbrest at one end, and some velcro at the other to hold it in round
your neck. It seems to me that this would make it very difficult to get
the length exactly right, as you can't slide adjust it like a normal sax
sling. I'm also not sure about having that much "bounce" in a sling - I
have a neotech sax sling which has a little give, and I think that is
plenty. The BG design seems to be more adjustable, and from the way it
connects to the clarinet, it looks as if the sling comes away from a
point further from the main body of the clarinet, which I think would
lessen any tendency for the sling to get in the way of your hands.
