In the discussion of wood versus plastic, it was suggested that
plastic clarinets generally have straight bores and tone holes. As a
point of information, the Armstrong clarinets, from student plastic,
through the wood/plastic hybrids, to professional all have undercut
tone holes and a tapered bore.
