Ben,
My students at the Curtis Branch of the Settlement School, Phila. last year
read through an arrangement of Husa's Slovakic Evocations for Woodwind Quintet
(Clarinet, Viola, Cello is the version most familar to us). It's a great
arrangement. (I didn't know Husa was connected to Eastman).

Benjamin,
What about Karel Husa?????!!!!!!!!! He's a FABULOUS composer and
his Slovakic Evocations is masterly. Are you sure that Howard Hanson
never wrote anything for us?I can't believe that Eastman's list of
"approved composers" has only those two composers you mentioned on it.
Dig deeper.
