Jacqueline,
I haven't done Sym. Fan. yet. I curious (I know the answer Dan
L.), what do people do on the C clarinet solo before the Eb comes in? Do
you do it on Bb, C (yes as it's written), or on Eb? If you didn't have a
C, it seems that the Eb would be a closer match to the tone color wanted
in that solo.
As an Eb player (I don't use the term Efer just as I don't refer to
myself as a cheesehead - since I'm a native Wisconsinite. Did everone like
the last Monday night football game - especially all you Philly and Curtis
people!!) you haven't lived until you've done the Messiaen Exotic Birds.
This piece really endures the piccolo and Eb to the rest of the group! I
think our chairs kept getting set up further and further away from the
group and closer to the door.
Also, what are people's opinions on the 2 piece body Buffet Eb
compaired to the old one piece body clarinet? I haven't tried any of the 2
piece Ebs so I'm curious.

Dan
