Hello,
I personally would recommend a Bonade or a Vandoren. I used a Rovner for
about a year and found that compared to others, they don't respond quite the
way the metal ligatures do. Also, they tend to give a little whistle to your
sound and darken your tone whereas metal ligatures are clearer sounding. In
terms of intonation, they are just as good as any other I suppose. I guess
the type of mouthpiece you use would also have something to do with it.
