Neil,

I agree that there is no scientific proof that two clarinets will
sound different when played in a controlled environment, and Dan
states his point very clearly. His kind response to my question makes
his position even easier to understand. I hear a difference between
clarinets played under controlled circumstances, science or not. But,
I guess that is not what this whole conversation started about anyway.
