I have used a Pomarico #2 for a long while, and I'm so fond of it I'd
have a hard time switching back to rubber. I remember when I first
switched the added weight on the instrument and the very solid feel of
the mouthpiece were hard to get used to. Something about the mass and
solidity of the mouthpiece seems to help my embouchure -- I suppose
it's a feeling that the reed is the only thing capable of moving. If
there's anything I don't like about it, oddly enough it's the look of
it -- would be nice if they made a mouthpiece of black smoked crystal.
