Subj: hearing the difference
Date: Fri, 30 Aug 1996 14:25:10 -0400

Dear Dan,

How do you account for a "built-in bias" when the testing is done as a
blind test. The listener has no idea if he/she is listening to the
same instrument twice, or if he/she is listening to two different
instruments, unless,of course, he/she CAN HEAR the difference. On a
slightly different tact, if you aren't a believer in the blind test,
how do you feel about behind-the-screen-blind-orchestral-auditions?
Looking forward to your comments, as always.

Respectfully,

Starr Schaftel Wayne
