Starr,
They do?????? That's news to us. Where? Believe me, if such a
thing were true every clarinetist with tendonitis would be playing one.
Ebernated rubber is a great material to make instruments out of but since
there is not yet an economic incentive (i.e. no more grenadilla), the
ultraconservative clarinet world shall continue using wood and all
plastic clarinets will be for students only and poorly made at that.
