Klarinet Archive - Posting 000663.txt from 1996/08

I am the person who recently posted the query regarding LeBlanc vs. Buffet
Festivals. First of all, to everyone who responded, thank you. Based on the
comments, I am now working with a LeBlanc Concerto and I am amazed with how
easy it is to blow at the high registers. It is well built and, as pointed out
by someone, somewhat heavy. But the notes are sweet and for a player like me
who is primarily a business professor and a wannabee clarinet player, this is a
relief. Now, for the main point of this posting.

Recently, there has been a discussion of corporate bands -- all under the
heading of "re: Buffet Festivals vs. LeBlanc Concertos." This discussion has
nothing to do with Buffets and LeBlanc. Please use the subject line to make
clear the intent of the posting. I would prefer to delete these messages
without reading them. I get a lot of messages every day (some 200) and I need
to get through them quickly. Furthermore, there are others on this list who
are billed on the basis of messages read. An appropriate message line would
make everyone's life (OK - my life -- truth in advertising time) easier.
Thanks for your attention in this matter.

Now, back to work.
