re; corporate bands...I don't know about the US but here in Europe I think many
companies have their own bands. I play in the Sandoz band in Basel (CH). We meet
once a week after work for practice and then we play at various functions;
opening new buildings, share holders meetings, we even get a free day to
accompany the pensioners on their yearly day out. The company supports the band
with music, uniforms, even paying for instrument repairs and maintenance.
We also play in the community and have just done our first CD to commemorate our
25th anniversary.
